Frequently Asked Questions

All your questions answered....

When you book a beauty treatment, it’s important to know that you’ll leave feeling fabulous. We always arrange a face to face consultation before booking an appointment to discuss the correct treatment most suited to you and your desired

Each person is unique and therefore the treatments needed will be unique to each person. The overall procedure will be very similar but the quantities use and injection placement will vary - depending on results.
Do I need to have a consultation?
You will need a consultation before any treatment to allow me to understand your objectives and desired outcomes. Each treatment is individual and personalised during the consultation, we will set out the aims and discuss realistic and achievable goals.
What should I do before and after having filler?
It is important you tell your practitioner about any medicines or dietary supplements you are taking. If you are taking supplements or some pain killing medicines such as aspirin or ibuprofen, then these can increase your risk of bruising and it may be advisable to stop taking them a few days before your treatment. It is also advisable that you do not drink alcohol the night before your treatment, for the same reason. It is not advisable to have treatment if you are feeling at all unwell.  Make-up will need to be removed prior to the injections and you will be advised not to reapply it for 12 hours in order to reduce the risk of infection or irritation at the injection sites.
We also provide aftercare bags included with your treatment which includes an arnica balm to reduce any bruising!

Will I have any side effects?

As with all treatments types there is always a risk of side effects, they are fairly uncommon and can usually be managed fairly simply. You will always receive after care documents for any treatment given. It is important to make sure you read and understand the aftercare documentation before you have the treatment. If there is anything you do not understand or have any questions on you will be able to ask me the questions during the consultation and any time after treatment.

Most people are able to continue with normal activities with immediate improvement in their appearance. Some will have some redness, pin prick marks, possibly swelling- particularly in the lips. Possibly bruising. Any swelling and bruising may be more apparent the next day.

Please contact your practitioner if redness, tenderness, itching or swelling worsens after 3 days, rather than settling. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns.

How long will my treatment last?

Results tend to last 3-4 months. Movement will begin recovering from 8 weeks. Repeating treatment when movement recovers will deliver optimum results over time. Frequency of treatments may be reduced according to the quality of your skin and your response to treatment. Should you choose not to maintain the results and not have further treatment, your muscles and skin will return to their pre-treatment state.

Longevity does vary between products, and between individuals, but most will last between 6 months and 18 months. If you choose not to maintain the results with further treatment, your skin will return to its pre-treatment state over time.
